In October, T. Mariotti, part of the Genova Industrie Navali Group, celebrated the launch of Olterra, the first unit of the SDO\u2013SuRS (Special and Diving Operations \u2013 Submarine Rescue Ship) programme for the Italian Navy.<\/p>\n
The launch, held at the Genoa shipyard, marked a fundamental milestone in the vessel\u2019s construction process and in the shipyard\u2019s history, representing the first military project ever undertaken by T. Mariotti.<\/p>\n
The new vessel bears the name Olterra and the motto \u201cPer Atra Aequora Fulgor\u201d, evoking the light that guides innovation even in the deepest and least explored waters.<\/p>\n
