Genoa, January 20, 2023 – Project Sama represents Neptune Co’s first ultra-luxury experience in the cruise segment, a joint venture composed of Aman Group and Cruise Saudi. This new and unique concept in the niche of extra-luxury sea resorts occupies a space in the travel sector never explored before.
The 183-meter ship with approximately 23,000 gross tonnage is the first new dual-fuel construction project by T. Mariotti and, upon delivery, will set a new benchmark for the future of environmental standards. The design and interiors will be crafted by SINOT, a world-renowned yacht designer. Project Sama will welcome guests in fifty dream suites, characterized by exceptional luxury, spacious public areas, and unparalleled entertainment facilities, a hallmark of the Aman brand.
“It is a privilege for us to have the opportunity to work with Aman, a leading player in high-level hospitality,” says Marco Ghiglione, CEO of T. Mariotti, “We are proud to offer our experience in building ultra-luxury ships to this new and exciting reality that offers a unique combination of elegance, safety, and versatility, which will innovate the art of sea travel. It is yet another demonstration of the competence and ability of Made in Italy to satisfy the desires of the most demanding customers in the world.”
This project represents a very important opportunity to once again demonstrate the incredible value of the knowledge and skills of the supplier and local companies that will work on this exciting concept. Among these, De Wave, which will be responsible for the luxurious interior finishes, and Ortec Santamaria, which will carry out the electrical installations and further consolidate the collaboration with T. Mariotti in new luxury construction projects. The launch of Project Sama is scheduled for 2026; its official name will be announced shortly.
