Finsea Steel: a new reality for steel logistics in Italy

After more than a year and a half of commitment and negotiations, the acquisition of the Arcelor Mittal business unit dedicated to the land import logistics of the steel giant has been completed.

Finsea Steel will be operational from 2025 as the general agent for Italy of all ships chartered by Arcelor Mittal arriving in Italian ports. The main ports involved will be La Spezia, Piombino, Ravenna, Salerno, Savona, Cagliari and Gaeta, for an estimated traffic of approximately 170 ships per year. The new company will also manage all land transport and related international shipments.

Finsea Steel will also collaborate with Aperam, a group company specialized in stainless steel, for the movement of goods at the Podenzano (Piacenza) and Massalengo (Lodi) sites.

The new company will have the official brand of the Finsea Group and will be part of the Land Transport Business Unit. With this acquisition, we welcome 10 new colleagues to the Group and inaugurate two offices, located in Milan and Piombino.

An important step to strengthen our leadership in the integrated logistics sector.
