This year Silt completed its service offering in the Upper Tyrrhenian Sea by opening a new company, Silt Vado.
In 2023 Silt completed its service offering in the Upper Tyrrhenian Sea by opening a new company, Silt Vado, founded in February by the Finsea Group, which holds the majority with 51%, by Salvatore De Caro and LandS of Gerardo Ghigliotto, respectively with 24.5% each. The President and CEO is Filippo Gallo, already responsible for the Transport and Logistics Business Unit of the Finsea Group.
The new company currently has two owned vehicles in operation. The trucks are certified for the transport of ADR (dangerous) and reefer (refrigerated) goods and will operate on behalf of third parties for both shipping companies and forwarding houses. Among the services offered: all-truck transports and various goods, filling and emptying.
But the news for our road transport company does not end here! Silt has also made a strong investment, expanding the fleet with the purchase of 15 trucks and 5 semi-trailers that complete the offer, bringing the company fleet to 50 tractors + 50 semi-trailers. We will soon see them on the road with a brand-new livery!
During the last Genoa Shipping Week, Matteo Ripamonti, Operational Manager of Silt, also took part as a speaker at the “Cool Logistic Global” Conference on innovation and sustainability in cold logistics. You can find his interesting intervention starting from min 24:45 of this video.
